Question by anonymoususer987876: Are people prosecuted who go to Cambodia to have sex with a child ?

Is it possible to charge and convict someone who has sex with a child prostitute in another country?
Did you see the undercover special on TV about this?

I saw one story about people gathering evidence and bringing it back to ruin their reputations and safe little lives. In some cases they then found cases in the states that they could be prosecuted for, but what they do in a foreign country has to be prosecuted there.

Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines are routinely catching and prosecuting these scum. There are so many of them though...

I believe disappear never to be seen alive again is a better end result.
